Ok I am in need of some help. I really want to lose the extra weight I have from the baby and from being lazy for the past few years but I am not sure where to start and how to keep myself motivated. I have tried to start an exercise routine many times but my motivation fades really quickly. I have been thinking lately about what motivates me to do things and have noticed that competition has been a lead factor in getting me to do many things and made me work a little bit harder on things I otherwise would not have done. So I was thinking maybe I could find a weight or exercise competition or start one with someone else. If anyone knows of something like this, would like to start one with me or just has any tips for me on this subject I would love to hear them.

Hey I hear you, I am in the same boat!!! What we woman have to go through for our beautiful kids. I just signed up for sparkpeople.com It is free and you can keep track of what you eat, how much you exercise and it will add the calories you burn and eat for you. Its a start. Plus I have a golds gym pass and I go because they have a daycare so I can drop the kids off while I workout and shower all at the gym.. That has really helped cause for me I hated going to the gym because I knew I was going to have to fit a shower and get ready with my kids at my feet. This way I look forward to my workout!

So with you on this!! The one way I always loose the weight is I train for 5k's and a half marathon in the summer. This year I'm going to do the provo riverwoods run if you want to do it with me that would be awesome. There are so many 5k's throughout the summer months too you can always find one and try to beat your time from the last one. I also have a diet I follow when nursing and then a strict one when I'm not. I do weight training and lots of other cardio too. If you want send me your email and I can email you tons of info on diet and exercise routines that have worked for me. I think it's so fun to loose the weight cause it's a challenge for sure, but awesome to see results! Good luck!

I just eat healthier! and with the other lil guys running around you will get plenty of excersise. I eat lots of chicken and fish. and water!!! I bet you look great and your just being hard on yourself.. your new one is still so lil, give yourself some time! I hope your doing and feeling good!

There are lots of sprint triathalons around this spring and summer. If you are competitive, get a few girl friends to train with you, much more fun! I am helping organize a group of women in our ward, we are going to run the wasatch back relay in June!

Sounds like you need a workout partner. Find someone to jog with or join a gym together. That is the only thing that works for me! Hope you are doing great!
